ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Amanda Hughes is a business owner, former NCAA Division I coach, community creator, and all-around adventure seeker. She attributes her success to leading from the heart, with empathy, compassion, and vulnerability, making personal growth a priority, and always operating in alignment with her core values. This commitment continues to create aligned opportunities to do more of everything she loves.

The Ice Cream Stand, a dessert destination in Downtown Syracuse, was one such opportunity that presented itself after Amanda found herself back in her hometown in 2015. This beloved local ice cream stand quickly became a destination for so much more than ice cream. With events like live music, stand-up comedy, happy hours, dog trainings, immersive experiences, and more, it quickly became a destination for community.

Jayne's Collective was born out of deep conversations and connections with people (and overwhelmingly women) at The Ice Cream Stand. It wasn't long before Amanda realized the opportunity to help others build the strengths and skills to do more of the things THEY loved through this venture. Doors opened (virtually) on May 11, 2020 with daily online programming and continues to develop its community with offerings in person and online.

Community is at her core and can be felt across her other creations like November Project Syracuse and SYR baton. This focus on growth and connection is also what landed Amanda a four year contract as a lululemon Ambassador.

Regardless of the endeavor, Amanda is focused on bringing people together in fun and creative ways!
